Patlabor EZY File 1 is an anime film produced by J.C.STAFF. A new chapter in the original franchise by HEADGEAR (Masami Yuuki, Yutaka Izubuchi, Kazunori Ito, Akemi Takada, et al.), released theatrically in three parts. Set in 2030s Japan, where advancing AI automation is rendering old-model Labors obsolete, the Metropolitan Police Special Vehicles Section 2, Division 2 fights new technology crimes with the upgraded "AV-98Plus Ingram." A new generation of pilots including Towa Kuga takes center stage. Directed by Yutaka Izubuchi with screenplay and series composition by Kazunori Ito, character concepts by Masami Yuuki, and music by Kenji Kawai.
