You, Fireworks, and a Promise is an anime film planned and produced by Shin-Ei Animation with animation production by SynergySP and Answer Studio. Based on the novel by Kaori Mato (Shogakukan, Gagaga Bunko) with character concepts by Akamoku. Distributed by Shochiku and Shin-Ei Animation. A time-crossing love story set against the Nagaoka Festival Grand Fireworks. When they meet at high school, classmate Hikaru Hayama possesses a painting of fireworks, told since childhood by her great-grandmother that she would "someday meet Makoto Natsume." As the two investigate the painting's mystery, they uncover the secret of a precious promise made in the past. Directed by Kei Suzuki with screenplay by Kohei Mori.
