A youth sports anime by MAPPA based on the baseball manga by Mikawa Eiko. Kiyomine Haruka and Kaname Kei were once feared as a genius battery duo in middle school. After Kaname loses his memory of baseball, he and Kiyomine, who stays by his side, enroll at Kotesashi High School -- a school with no baseball team. By coincidence, talented players who had once had their spirits crushed by the Kiyomine-Kaname battery and quit baseball also end up at the same school, and these individuals who were never supposed to meet begin facing baseball once again. The series is notable for its skillful blend of comedy and serious drama. The OP theme is 'Lilac' by Mrs. GREEN APPLE, and the ED theme is 'Wasurena Uta' by Macaroni Empitsu.
