A TV anime based on the popular DMM GAMES title 'Touken Ranbu -ONLINE-,' adapted from its stage play productions. The Touken Danshi -- warriors who are the living embodiments of historically famous swords -- fight the History Retrograde Army to prevent the alteration of history surrounding the Incident at Honnoji. The struggles and bonds of Touken Danshi including Mikazuki Munechika and Yamanbagiri Kunihiro are carefully depicted across all 8 episodes. The OP theme is 'Whatever Happens' by INI, and the ED theme is 'DAYBREAK' sung by the voice actors of all 12 Touken Danshi.
