A coming-of-age human drama based on the manga by Pomu, broadcast in Fuji Television's late-night anime slot 'noitaminA.' The story centers on Hanaoka Makoto, an 'otokonoko' who cross-dresses throughout high school life, and depicts the delicate interpersonal dynamics among three people: Aoi Saki, a junior who confesses to Makoto mistaking him for a girl, and Taiga Ryuji, Makoto's childhood friend. A work fitting for an era of diversity, it asks what it means to be 'true to yourself' without being constrained by gender or identity. Both the OP theme 'Wagamama' and the ED theme 'Are ga Koi Datta no Kana feat. Nishina' are performed by Kujira.
