The second part of the TV anime based on the manga by Satoshi Mizukami, featuring a grand new story with new protagonists. The narrative centers on Senya, a boy whose body harbors a thousand katawara (darkness spirits) as a spiritually modified human, and Tsukiko, a girl who wishes to become stronger to protect him, as they face off against Mud, a boy of the black dragon who stands at the apex of darkness. The fates of characters from the first part -- Jinpuu, Shinsuke, and Tama -- also intertwine, deepening the tale of bonds between humans and youkai set against the backdrop of the Warring States era. The OP theme is 'KATAWARA' by STEREO DIVE FOUNDATION, the first-cour ED theme is 'Yoru no Manima' by Nanami Hiroki, and the second-cour ED theme is 'Banri Ikkuu' by Rainy.
