The Kyoto arc of the newly animated adaptation of Nobuhiro Watsuki's classic manga, in which Himura Kenshin, the former Ishin patriot once feared as 'Hitokiri Battousai,' lives as a wandering swordsman bound by a vow never to kill, when the machinations of Shishio Makoto, who plots to overthrow the Meiji government, come to light. Kenshin sets out for Kyoto to stop Shishio and faces unprecedented deadly battles against fearsome adversaries. The new production brings the manga's most beloved arc to life with stunning animation and dynamic swordfight choreography. The first cour OP is 'Iranai Mono' by Kitani Tatsuya and Natori, with the ED 'Suikou Setten' by NOMELON NOLEMON; the second cour OP is 'BURN' by yama and WurtS, with the ED 'Tada Hitotsu' by Zarame.
