An original feature-length anime film by the acclaimed trio of Tatsuyuki Nagai (director), Mari Okada (screenplay), and Masayoshi Tanaka (character design), the creators behind 'Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day,' 'The Anthem of the Heart,' and 'Her Blue Sky.' Three young men who grew up together on the same island begin living together in Tokyo, where they have been hearing each other's inner thoughts through the power of a mysterious creature called 'Fureru.' But when a certain incident occurs, their relationship begins to change. This coming-of-age ensemble drama delicately depicts feelings that cannot be put into words and the difficulty of communication. The theme song is 'Monotone' performed by YOASOBI.
