In a world where humans employ fairies and sugar confections are believed to bring happiness, master artisans who create sacred sugar confections are known as "Silver Sugar Masters." After losing her renowned Silver Sugar Master mother, the young girl Ann sets out for the royal capital. She hires the warrior fairy Shall as bodyguard—skilled but sharp-tongued, refusing to trust humans.
