An anime adaptation of the unconventional crime suspense manga by Naoki Yamakawa and Masashi Asaki. Tetsuo Tosu is an ordinary middle-aged office worker and a loving father devoted to his wife and daughter. One day, however, he discovers that his beloved daughter Reika's boyfriend is a member of a semi-organized crime group who has been physically abusing her. The action Tetsuo takes to protect his daughter triggers an irreversible chain of events, plunging him into a fierce battle of wits against the criminal underworld. Armed with knowledge cultivated through his hobby of writing mystery novels and driven by deep love for his family, Tetsuo scrambles to survive one crisis after another. The story is a gripping tale of a father's resolve to protect his family at all costs, even as his everyday life crumbles around him. The opening theme, 'Ai no Uta' by Chiai Fujikawa, powerfully conveys a father's desperate love for his family, while the ending theme, 'Decided' by Dizzy Sunfist, amplifies the story's tension with its driving punk sound.
