A fantasy ensemble drama with the original story by Ryohgo Narita, known for 'Baccano!' and 'Durarara!!,' and art by Shinta Fujimoto. The story begins when a legendary necromancer once known as the 'Corpse God' in another world is reborn into modern-day Shinjuku after a final battle with a hero, awakening in the body of a just-murdered boy named Polka Shinoyama. Though the necromancer desires nothing more than a peaceful life, the desire-soaked streets of Shinjuku are a tangled web of hitmen, criminals, urban legends, and police, dragging him into one incident after another. The first cour features the opening 'Nero' sung by Sou and the ending 'Iolite' by Minase Inori, while the second cour brings Minase Inori's opening 'Scrap Art' and Uchida Yuma's ending 'Hope,' together coloring the series' dark yet stylish world.
