His encounter with Ritsuko Akine, a classmate and complete beginner at the violin, leads him to audition for the prestigious orchestra club at the elite Umimaku High School. This coming-of-age ensemble drama thoughtfully depicts the bonds forged through friendly rivalry with colorful teammates, the grueling rehearsals leading up to competitions, and the human connections woven through music. The anime beautifully recreates the delicate musical depictions of Makoto Akui's original manga, with stunning visuals that fully convey the allure of classical music.
