An original anime production by Studio 3Hz based on a concept by Cygames. One day, when Earth comes under attack from Grey-type aliens, humanity is saved by legendary beings in human form. The government designates these beings as 'Borders' and places them under surveillance. The protagonist, Brian Nightraider, is a former ace detective who was dismissed from the force after taking responsibility for an incident. A letter that arrives at his doorstep leads to his assignment at the 'Marginal Service,' a special agency that monitors Borders, where he takes on various cases alongside a colorful team of operatives. Combining the appeal of sci-fi action with buddy dynamics, the opening theme 'Quiet explosion' is performed by Mamoru Miyano, the voice of protagonist Brian, while the ending theme 'Salt & Sugar' by Yuma Uchida rounds out the series. The star-studded voice cast of popular voice actors is another highlight of the show.
