The second half of the 'Slave Arc,' in which Thorfinn, who once lived solely for revenge, meets Einar while working as a slave on Ketil's farm and begins to find new meaning in life while confronting his own sins. In a Viking world consumed by violence and warfare, Thorfinn searches for what it means to be a 'true warrior' and aspires to save people without resorting to violence. Meanwhile, King Canute of England reaches toward Ketil's farm in pursuit of building his ideal 'paradise,' driving the story toward an unavoidable collision. Shifting from the quiet, introspective first half to rapidly escalating tension, the second cour delivers profound emotion as a tale of atonement and rebirth. The opening theme is 'Paradox' by Survive Said The Prophet, and the ending theme is 'Ember' by haju:harmonics, both supporting the series' grand and sweeping worldview.
