A TV anime based on the popular RPG series 'Atelier Ryza' by Koei Tecmo Games. Ryza, a girl living as an ordinary farmer's daughter in a small village on Kurken Island surrounded by lakes, finds herself restless with the monotony of daily life and ventures outside the island with her childhood friends Lent and Tao. There she meets the alchemist Empel and learns of the mysterious power of 'alchemy,' prompting her to become his apprentice. As Ryza blossoms as an alchemist, she and her companions build a secret hideout and confront the mysteries threatening their island. A youthful fantasy work that carefully portrays Ryza and her friends' growth from ordinary girl to alchemist through a summer of adventure. The opening theme is 'Golden Ray' by Sangatsu no Phantasia, and the ending theme is 'Arrow' by Awkmiu.
