Houtsuki Yayoi, a girl with a strong spirit medium constitution who is paradoxically avoided by spirits, carries the trauma of having her mother's soul stolen by an evil spirit, and appears at haunted spots across the country to reclaim it. Meanwhile, Gentoka Keitaro, who has become a shut-in due to his constitution that powerfully attracts spirits, meets Yayoi when he becomes her tutor, and they form a cooperative partnership that complements each other's abilities. Yayoi practices 'Dark Gathering' -- sealing powerful evil spirits into stuffed animals and collecting them as combat assets -- as they set out on a journey across Japan's haunted locations to confront the mysterious entity 'Kuubo' that abducted her mother. A work that creates a unique sense of tension through the combination of genuine horror imagery and a young girl's pure determination. The opening theme is 'Kakuriyo' by luz, and the ending themes are 'Haiiro' and 'Intaglio' by Hanazawa Kana.
