A tokusatsu entry in the Ultraman series, this show follows Hiruma Gento, captain of a special forces unit within the Earth defense organization 'GGF,' who battles kaiju disasters with the power of a mysterious giant that suddenly took residence within his body. Ultraman Blazar, the giant of light who awakened during a battle against the rampaging space-armored kaiju Bazanga, hails from a distant celestial body, and communication between him and Gento is far from easy. Leading the elite squad 'SKaRD' and the giant mecha 'Earthgaron,' Gento grapples with the constant question of whether this unidentified giant is friend or foe, lending the series a distinctive tension. The opening theme 'Bokura no Spectra' is performed by Kitadani Hiroshi, and the ending theme 'BLACK STAR' is performed by MindaRyn.
