The second cour of this distinctive dark fantasy that begins when Helck, a human hero, barges into a Demon King selection tournament. As Imperial Heavenly King Vermilio and Helck join forces and continue their journey to reclaim the Demon King's castle, the true meaning behind Helck's declaration that he 'wants to destroy humanity' gradually comes to light. The story drives toward its emotional core as the protagonist's past, concealing deep sorrow behind his smile, is finally revealed in a succession of moving developments. The second cour OP theme is 'HELP' by Aimi, and the ED theme is 'Hikari' by Kanoerana. Based on the manga by Nanao Ikki.
