The second cour of the TV anime produced by BONES, based on the manga by Jun Mochizuki, serialized in Square Enix's Monthly Gangan JOKER. The series has exceeded 5.5 million copies in circulation (as of June 2021). In 19th-century Paris where humans and vampires coexist, the vampire youth Noé Archiviste is sent by his teacher to Paris to find the grimoire "The Book of Vanitas," said to spread curses among vampires. On an airship, Noé meets Vanitas, a human who claims to be a vampire specialist and possesses the very grimoire he seeks. In the second cour, Vanitas's relationship with the Hellfire Witch Jeanne deepens while the mystery of the vampire curse "Malnomen" grows more complex. Through the Beast of Gévaudan incident, encounters with the vampire Chloé and Jean-Jacques, and the machinations of the church's Astolfo are depicted. 24 episodes total (second cour: episodes 13-24). Main cast includes Natsuki Hanae as Vanitas, Kaito Ishikawa as Noé, Inori Minase as Jeanne, and Rie Kugimiya as Chloé.
