A TV anime produced by CloverWorks, based on the 4-panel manga by Aki Hamaji serialized in Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara MAX. The series has sold over 3 million copies (as of January 2024). Hitori Goto (nicknamed "Bocchi-chan"), a high school girl with incredible guitar skills but extreme social anxiety, is recruited by drummer Nijika Ijichi to join the band "Kessoku Band." Together with bassist Ryo Yamada and guitarist/vocalist Ikuyo Kita, they begin their band activities. Aired from October to December 2022 (12 episodes). Directed by Keiichiro Saito, written by Erika Yoshida. Cast includes Yoshino Aoyama as Hitori, Sayumi Suzushiro as Nijika, Saku Mizuno as Ryo, and Ikumi Hasegawa as Ikuyo.
