More Than a Married Couple, But Not Lovers.
Aired: 2022
A TV anime produced by studio MOTHER, based on the manga by Yuki Kanamaru, serialized in KADOKAWA's Young Ace. The series has exceeded 1.5 million copies in circulation (as of November 2023, including digital). Jiro Yakuin, a quiet and introverted high school student, is paired with his polar opposite—the flashy and popular gyaru Akari Watanabe—in their school's "marriage practice" program. Jiro has feelings for library committee member Shiori Sakurazaka, while Akari likes soccer club member Minato Tenjin. Since top-performing pairs can swap partners, the two seriously play the role of a married couple to earn the right to be with their respective crushes. However, as they live together, they discover unknown sides of each other and their relationship gradually changes. 12 episodes. Main cast includes Saori Onishi as Akari, Seiichiro Yamashita as Jiro, Saki Miyashita as Shiori, and Toshiki Masuda as Minato. Music by Yuri Habuka. ©2022 Yuki Kanamaru / KADOKAWA / Seishun Academy
