The fourth season of the TV anime produced by Brain's Base, based on the manga by Satoru Noda serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump (2014-2022, 31 volumes). The series has sold over 25 million copies (as of August 2023), winning the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize Grand Prize (2018). Set in post-Russo-Japanese War Hokkaido, "Immortal" Sugimoto Saichi and Ainu girl Asirpa pursue prisoners with tattoos that hold clues to hidden gold. In the fourth season, Sugimoto and Asirpa return to Hokkaido as the three-way conflict with Lieutenant Tsurumi and Hijikata Toshizo intensifies. Aired from October to December 2022 (13 episodes).
