RWBY: Ice Queendom

A TV anime produced by Shaft, based on the American 3DCG web series RWBY created by Rooster Teeth Productions, featuring an original Japanese storyline. The series aired from July to September 2022 on TOKYO MX and other stations for 12 episodes. Produced with a star-studded creative team including Gen Urobuchi (animation concept) and Tow Ubukata (screenplay). Set in the world of "Remnant," where science and fairy tales coexist, the story follows four young women at Beacon Academy who train to become Huntresses to fight humanity's threat, the Grimm: Ruby Rose (CV: Saori Hayami), Weiss Schnee (CV: Yoko Hikasa), Blake Belladonna (CV: Yu Shimamura), and Yang Xiao Long (CV: Ami Koshimizu), who form Team RWBY. Beginning with a reimagined retelling of the original Volume 1, the series transitions into an original story centered around a "Nightmare Grimm" lurking within Weiss's dreams.
