A TV anime produced by Shaft, based on the "Pretty Boy" novel series by NisiOisiN published by Kodansha Taiga (illustrations by Kinako, 12 volumes). Mayumi Dojima, a girl at the private Yubiwa Academy middle school, has been searching for a star she saw 10 years ago. One day, she meets Manabu Sotoin, the leader of the Pretty Boy Detective Club, and asks them to help find her star. The club consists of five distinctive boys: Manabu (aesthetics), Nagahiro Sakiguchi (gastronomy), Michiru Fukuroi (mathematics), Hyota Ashikaga (athletics), and Sosaku Yubiwa (art). Together with them, Mayumi takes on mysteries both inside and outside the academy. 12 episodes. Chief director: Akiyuki Shinbo. Music by Masatomo Ota and EFFY.
