A TV anime produced by Kinema Citrus, Gift Animation, and STUDIO JEMI. A new anime installment in the "Cardfight!! Vanguard" trading card game series by Bushiroad. Character design concepts by CLAMP. Yu-yu Kondo, a 9th grader living in Kanazawa, has been suppressing himself to meet his family's expectations and feels suffocated. One night, he runs away from home and encounters Danji Momoyama, leader of "Team Blackout," at an abandoned amusement park, becoming captivated by the world of Vanguard fights. Through his interactions with Danji and new companions, Yu-yu begins to discover his own path. Season 1: 12 episodes. Aired on TV Tokyo and other stations. Directed by Satoshi Mori.
