The Vampire Dies in No Time

A TV anime produced by Madhouse, based on the manga by Itaru Bonnoki serialized in Akita Shoten's Weekly Shonen Champion, with over 3.7 million copies in circulation (as of February 2026). Spanning 12 episodes, vampire hunter Ronald storms the castle of Draluc, feared as an immortal progenitor vampire, only to discover that Draluc is an incredibly weak vampire who dies and turns to dust from sunlight, garlic, slight impacts, sneezes, and even emotional shock—though he regenerates instantly. After Ronald destroys his castle, Draluc and his armadillo companion John move into Ronald's office in Shin-Yokohama. The series is a high-energy slapstick comedy featuring the weakest vampire in history, the long-suffering hunter Ronald, and colorful companions including fellow hunters Momo Handa and Hinaichi, along with various eccentric vampires.
