Natsuki Subaru, summoned to another world, protects loved ones through "Return by Death." In the first half of Season 2, after his battle with the Witch Cult Sin Archbishop of Sloth, Subaru travels to the "Sanctuary" and confronts the Witch of Greed, Echidna. He faces trials to break the Sanctuary's barrier while Rem remains unconscious and the feelings of Emilia and Beatrice intertwine. 12 episodes (Season 2 first half), broadcast July to September 2020. Directed by Masaharu Watanabe, music by Kenichiro Suehiro.
