A TV anime produced by Production I.G, based on the manga by Ryosuke Takeuchi (story) and Hikaru Miyoshi (art) serialized in Shueisha's Jump Square, with over 6 million copies (as of 2022), inspired by Arthur Conan Doyle's works. Set in late 19th-century Britain during the Industrial Revolution, the story follows William James Moriarty, an orphan adopted into the Moriarty noble family, who works alongside his brother Albert as a "Lord of Crime" to dismantle the corrupt class system where less than 3% of the population holds absolute power. With allies including his brother Louis, sniper Sebastian Moran, and informant Fred Porlock, William encounters private detective Sherlock Holmes and his partner John H.
