A TV anime produced by Doga Kobo, based on the novel series by Ira Ishida published by Bungeishunju (Bunshun Bunko) since 1998. Winner of the 36th All Yomimono Mystery Newcomer Award, the series has sold over 4.2 million copies. Makoto Majima, son of a fruit shop owner near Ikebukuro's west gate park, is childhood friends with Takashi Ando, the "King" of the color gang "G-Boys." Makoto becomes known as the "Troubleshooter of Ikebukuro," solving underworld cases involving yakuza crimes and gang turf wars that police can't handle. Surrounded by friends like Hikaru and G-Boys executives Kyoichi and Hiroto, various incidents unfold across Ikebukuro. 12 episodes.
