A TV anime produced by WHITE FOX, based on the light novel by Tappei Nagatsuki, originally a web novel serialized on "Shosetsuka ni Naro" and published by KADOKAWA's MF Bunko J since January 2014, with illustrations by Shinichirou Otsuka. The series has surpassed 13 million copies in worldwide circulation including digital editions (as of 2023). This is the second cour (episodes 39-50) of Season 2. After defeating Petelgeuse of the Witch Cult's Sin Archbishops, Natsuki Subaru faces Emilia's trials to liberate the Sanctuary, his contract with Beatrice, clashes with Garfiel Tinzel, and Roswaal L. Mathers' true intentions. Using his "Return by Death" power, Subaru seeks a path to save everyone alongside Emilia, Ram, and Otto Suwen in the Sanctuary, where the schemes of witches including Echidna swirl. Starring Yusuke Kobayashi, Rie Takahashi, Inori Minase, Satomi Arai, Takehito Koyasu, Nobuhiko Okamoto, and Maaya Sakamoto.
