An anime film produced by Production I.G, the theatrical conclusion to the third season (aired 2019) of the original sci-fi series depicting a near-future society controlled by the "Sibyl System," a massive surveillance network that quantifies and manages human psychological states. Set in Tokyo in 2120, new inspectors Arata Shindo and Kei Mikhail Ignatov of the Public Safety Bureau's Criminal Investigation Division have solved numerous cases, but their confrontation with the mysterious organization "Bifrost" deepens. When Koichi Azusawa seizes the Public Safety Bureau building and takes hostages demanding the resignation of Governor Karina Komiya, Akane Tsunemori directs operations from detention while Arata and Kei work to retake the building. Bifrost ultimately collapses, and Azusawa's interference with the Sibyl System is prevented. Released March 27, 2020, runtime 134 minutes.
