A TV anime produced by A-1 Pictures. Based on the manga by Aka Akasaka serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump, the series has surpassed 22 million copies worldwide (as of 2022). At the prestigious Shuchiin Academy, Student Council Vice President Kaguya Shinomiya and President Miyuki Shirogane are attracted to each other, but their excessive pride prevents them from being honest. A romantic battle of wits unfolds as each tries to make the other confess their feelings first. Secretary Chika Fujiwara's airheaded antics and Yu Ishigami's sharp remarks add to the comedy. The first season spans 12 episodes, directed by Mamoru Hatakeyama with music by Kei Haneoka. Main cast includes Aoi Koga as Kaguya, Makoto Furukawa as Shirogane, Konomi Kohara as Chika, and Ryota Suzuki as Ishigami. OP theme is "Love Dramatic feat.
