A TV anime produced by MAPPA and Tezuka Productions. A new anime adaptation of Osamu Tezuka's manga "Dororo," marking the first TV anime adaptation in approximately 50 years. In the Sengoku era, lord Daigo Kagemitsu bargains with 12 demon gods for his domain's prosperity, and his newborn heir is stripped of body parts and cast into a river. The grown Hyakkimaru, fitted with prosthetic body parts and swords hidden in his arms, journeys to slay demons and reclaim his stolen body. His encounter with the young thief Dororo profoundly changes his destiny. The series spans 24 episodes across two cours, directed by Kazuhiro Furuhashi with music by Yoshihiro Ike. Main cast includes Hiroki Suzuki as Hyakkimaru, Rio Suzuki as Dororo, Naoya Uchida as Kagemitsu, and Akio Otsuka as Jukai. OP theme is "Kaen" by Queen Bee. ©Tezuka Productions/Twin Engine
