A TV anime produced by GONZO, based on the manga by Kawada serialized in Shueisha's "Weekly Shonen Jump" from 2014 to 2019. 28 volumes total. A sports anime centered on sumo wrestling. Despite his small stature, high school sumo wrestler Hinomaru Ushio aims to become yokozuna, fighting alongside his teammates at the weak Odachi High School sumo club to win the Inter-High tournament. The series highlights the powerful bouts and Hinomaru's burning fighting spirit. An authentic sports work that carefully depicts real sumo techniques and philosophy.
