A theatrical anime produced by Qzil.la, the first screen adaptation of FromSoftware's action-adventure game "SEKIRO: SHADOWS DIE TWICE" (2019). The original game has sold over 10 million copies worldwide and won Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2019. Set in late Sengoku-era Japan, the story follows a young shinobi known as "Wolf" who battles through the land of Ashina to rescue his abducted young lord, Kuro. Produced entirely in hand-drawn 2D animation, the film features thrilling sword-clashing action fused with the beauty of Japan's warring states era. Directed by Kenichi Kakuna, screenplay by Takuya Sato, music by Shuta Hasunuma. Produced by KADOKAWA and ARCH Inc. Theme song is "Blu" by Ryuichi Sakamoto. Main cast includes Daisuke Namikawa (Wolf), Miyuki Sato (Kuro), Kenjiro Tsuda (Genichiro Ashina), Shizuka Ito (Emma), Takaya Hashi (Owl), and Tetsuo Kanao (Isshin Ashina).
