A TV anime produced by Kinema Citrus, based on the manga by Akihito Tsukushi serialized in Takeshobo WEB Comic Gamma, with over 12 million copies in circulation (as of 2024). A dark fantasy following Riko, a girl who explores the massive vertical chasm called the Abyss, and Reg, a robot boy she encounters within. The unknown world deep underground is both beautiful and cruel, with curse-like Ascension Strain awaiting adventurers. The encounter with Nanachi and Bondrewd cruelty generated major buzz.
