Overlord is a TV anime based on Kugane Maruyama's web novel and light novel published by KADOKAWA Enterbrain, with over 15 million copies in circulation (as of 2024). Aired from July 2015, the dark fantasy follows "Momonga," a skeletal mage who remained in an online game until its shutdown, only to be transported to another world along with the game itself. He rules the new world as the supreme undead overlord "Ainz Ooal Gown." Produced by Madhouse.
