Garo: Crimson Moon is the second anime installment of Keita Amemiya's tokusatsu franchise Garo, aired from October 2015. Produced by MAPPA, the Japanese-style dark fantasy is set in Heian-era Kyoto, where Makai Knight Raikou dons the Golden Knight Garo armor to fight shadow creatures called "Horrors." Historical figures including Fujiwara no Michinaga and Abe no Seimei appear, creating a unique world blending Heian elegance with the supernatural.
