Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun is a TV anime based on Izumi Tsubaki's manga serialized on Square Enix's Monthly Gangan Online, with over 6 million copies in circulation. Aired from July 2014, produced by Doga Kobo, the romantic comedy follows high schooler Chiyo Sakura who confesses to Umetaro Nozaki, only to discover he is secretly a popular shojo manga artist. Chiyo becomes his assistant, while their colorful classmates unknowingly serve as models for his manga. The series' brilliant parodies of shojo manga conventions made it one of the most popular anime of summer 2014. 12 episodes.
