Ikoku Meiro no Croisee The Animation is based on the manga by Hinata Takeda, produced by Satelight. Airing July-September 2011 (12 episodes), it follows Yune, a young Japanese girl who comes to live at a Parisian shopping arcade in the late 19th century, working at an ironwork shop. The show beautifully depicts cross-cultural exchange between Japanese and French cultures.
