Akikan!

A TV anime produced by Brains Base, based on the light novel by Riku Aizoe published under Shueisha's Super Dash Bunko imprint, with illustrations by Hiro Suzuhira. High school student Kakeru Daichi, who collects empty cans as a hobby, takes a sip from a can of melon soda bought from a vending machine, only for the can to transform into a beautiful girl. Through a ritual called "Girlish," the bond between an Akikan (can spirit) and its owner is established, and Kakeru names his Akikan "Melon," beginning their life together. However, behind the scenes, a battle called "Akikan Elect" to determine whether steel cans or aluminum cans are superior is underway, and Kakeru and Melon are inevitably drawn into the conflict.
