An original TV anime produced by Bee Train as part of the ".hack Project" by Bandai and CyberConnect2. It aired for 26 episodes on TV Tokyo from April to September 2002. The story follows Tsukasa, a boy trapped inside the online game "The World" who cannot log out. Other players search for the "Key of the Twilight" to uncover the mystery. Music by Yuki Kajiura with theme songs performed by See-Saw.
