Haibane Renmei

A TV anime based on Yoshitoshi ABe's doujinshi, produced by RADIX. It aired for 13 episodes on Fuji TV from October to December 2002. A girl named Rakka is born from a cocoon without memories, becoming a "Haibane" with grey wings and a halo. Living with other Haibane in the walled town of Glie, she gradually uncovers the mysteries of their existence through the "Day of Flight" of her companions.
