A TV anime produced by Pierrot, aired on TV Tokyo from October 2002 to February 2007 with 220 episodes. Based on the popular manga by Masashi Kishimoto serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump, the story follows Naruto Uzumaki, an underdog ninja who dreams of becoming Hokage, the strongest ninja in his village. The series' ninja battles and themes of friendship and bonds gained explosive popularity worldwide, making it one of Japan's most iconic anime.
