"CHAOS;HEAD" is a TV anime produced by Madhouse, based on the visual novel co-developed by 5pb. and Nitroplus. It aired from October to December 2008 for 12 episodes. Set in Shibuya, reclusive otaku high schooler Takumi Nishijo becomes embroiled in a series of bizarre murders known as "New Generation Madness." As the line between reality and delusion blurs, Takumi encounters girls wielding supernatural swords called "Di-Swords" and draws closer to the truth behind the incidents and the secret of his own existence.
