CODE-E is an original TV anime based on a concept by Ichiro Sakaki with original work by Kaede Sasahara, produced by Studio Deen. It aired 12 episodes from July to September 2007. Set in 2017, twenty years after a meteorite impact, the story follows Chinami Ebihara, a transfer student with the special ability "TYPE-E" that causes her to emit electromagnetic waves when her emotions run high. At her new school, she meets a science-loving boy, and together they investigate the mysteries of her ability in this unique sci-fi romantic comedy.
