Bamboo Blade is a TV anime adaptation of the manga by Masahiro Totsuka (story) and Aguri Igarashi (art), produced by AIC A.S.T.A. Aired October 2007 to April 2008 on TV Tokyo, 26 episodes. The story follows kendo club adviser Toraji Ishida at Muroe High School as he recruits female kendo members and builds a competitive team, depicting the growth and friendship of the colorful club members.
