D.N.Angel is a TV anime produced by XEBEC, based on the manga by Yukiru Sugisaki serialized in Kadokawa Shoten's Monthly Asuka. 26 episodes aired on TV Tokyo from April to September 2003. Eighth-grader Daisuke Niwa, after being rejected by his crush Risa Harada, discovers that romantic feelings trigger his transformation into the legendary phantom thief Dark Mousy. The Niwa family has been a lineage of phantom thieves since the Edo period, and Daisuke must balance school life with his secret double life. Classmate Satoshi Hiwatari also harbors hidden secrets.
