Ninja Scroll: The Series is a TV anime produced by Madhouse, adapting Yoshiaki Kawajiri's 1993 theatrical film "Ninja Scroll" into a TV series. 13 episodes aired on WOWOW from April to July 2003. Wandering ninja Jubei Kibagami encounters Shigure, a girl carrying the Light Maiden's necklace, thief Tsubute, and the monk-like elder Dakuan, becoming embroiled in battles over the Dragon Jewel.
