A gag comedy anime produced by Nippon Animation, based on the manga by Ami Shibata serialized in Square Enix's Monthly Shonen Gangan. A sequel to Tropical Rainforest Boy Papuwa-kun, the story follows Kotaro, an amnesiac boy who washes ashore on Papuwa Island and encounters its strange inhabitants and the island's guardian, Papuwa. While evading pursuers from the Gamma organization, Kotaro searches for his identity and the island's secrets. The 26-episode series expands into an epic tale involving his connection to Shintaro and the mysterious jewel eyes, while maintaining its signature surreal humor.
